OA Skywalker is a passionate filmmaker and a strong visual storyteller. Inspired by George Lucas's Star Wars Saga during his youth, wanting to learn how to create a lightsaber on a screen, OA loves exploring the way to implement visual effects in all of his films. While attending Chapman University in Film Productions and Digital Arts, he directed over a dozen of movies and commercials while being trained by the accomplished director, John Badham ( Heroes, Saturday Night Fever, Dracula ). In 2007, OA debuted his big directorial piece on 16mm, Rewind - a supernatural thriller short in his junior year. In July, 2008, OA moved from Orange County to Los Angeles where he currently resides. Two weeks after moving, He was hired to edit a feature film "Scape" by Mythmaker Entertainments. About the same time, he was also got a job at Third Point Productions as the lead editor for a reality show of the company. The job gave OA an opportunity to meet Gary Tachell, a cinematographer ( Star Trek: Enterprise, E-Rings ). Having the same interest in sci-fi movies, Gary worked together with OA on his big budget mystery, sci-fi fantasy thesis - Mind Machine, where Gary performed as a DP along with one of hollywood best 1st AC's, Thomas Bango ( No Country for Old Men, Little Miss Sunshine, Live Free or Die Hard ). The production was also supervised by Jeff McCracken, a producer/director ( Boy Meets World, Quiz Show, Dinosaurs ). With an effort of gathering a great casts, such as Emma Prescott ( Grey's Anatomy, Numb3rs, Windfall ), Mind Machine was a successful film. It won the most public votes and it was nominated for best VFX and best production design for Cecil Awards as well as was honored in many festivals. OA just shot a 2013 Mercedes Benz SLK commercial "Day&Night" for Ogilvy&Mather. He recently wrapped a Bat Romance Music video for Break Media featuring Raina Hein and Jessica Serfaty from America's Next Top Model, which is now one of the biggest viral video on YouTube. He also did 3 spec commercials for Doritos and Pepsi Max for the SuperBowl 2012 contest, which was featuring Zachary Alexander Rice ( Hop, Super 8), and now there are 3.5 million hits combined. OA is now in the process of co-writing 2 feature scripts with budget between 5-10 millions dollar: an action sci-fi - "Time Anomaly" and a military action film - "Operation X". His co-writer and him are also developing a new series pilot - "Apocalypse". OA is still taking freelance jobs with ongoing projects as a director for commercials, web, and music videos
