Gary Hauger was born in Bangor, Maine, USA to Mary and Geoffrey Hauger, neither of which were involved with television or film in anyway. He began performing in school plays at the age of five and auditioned for his first feature film Graveyard Shift (1990) at the age of seventeen because he and some friends heard about the open call on the radio. Graduating with honors with a Bachelor of Science in Communications & Broadcasting, Gary worked in the Portland, Maine radio market as a disc jockey and directed his first theatrical production of Agatha Christie's "Ten Little Indians" while in college. After college Gary began screen-writing and working on independent films, with his first major role in Scooter McGruder (2011). Gary's voice has also been used for numerous commercial projects, radio dramas, and audio books. He lives with his wife and son, outside Lewiston, Maine.
