Sophie Brabenec is an actress born in Melbourne, Australia. The daughter of a Czech opal miner and Australian/French nurse. Sophie trained at the National Theatre Drama School and earned her first screen role not long after graduating in 'The Independent'(2007). Soon after, she relocated to London and worked extensively on stage, including lead roles in Australian plays 'Cosi', and 'The Present', directed by Olivier award winner Adam Spreadbury-Maher. She is also known for her work in comedy web series 'Visioneering: Forward Thinkers of the World' (2018), and feature films; 'You', winner of the Best Director Award at Los Angeles IFS (2018), 'D'ora' (2014), screened at Cannes (2012) and BAFTA (2013), and 'Dream Candy' (2010), winner of the Rising Star Award at The Canadian International Film Festival. Sophie now lives in Los Angeles.
