Luis Galán is an award-winning Spanish director, screenwriter and editor. He graduated in both Drama and Cinema, winning the Extraordinary Madrid Award and the National Award by the Ministry of Education of Spain. After a few years acting mainly in theatre, he started developing TV Shows and directed music videos for Sony Music. Then he built a career in advertising (Google, Mitsubishi...) while his short-films were screened in several editions of Cannes Film Festival. In 2015-16 he filmed in Senegal and Colombia the documentary short AnorMal, winner of 34 awards in more than a hundred film festivals, including three "Latino de Oro" awards. During 2017 and 2018, he kept filming commercials and directed the Nintendo Official Magazine at the same time. In 2019 he moved to Beijing to direct a documentary feature for a Chinese production company. In 2020 he directed, wrote and edited a new movie related to China: The First Outbreak (Wuhan Zona Cero). This feature about the COVID-19 pandemic is winning awards at film festivals all around the world, including 7 Best Film Awards in London. In Spain, press has called him: "a solid promise of the auteur cinema", emphasizing his humanism and the way he touches audiences' feelings.
