Frederick Gourgue

Frederick 'Turbo' Gourgue - born Frederick Sky Ely Gourgue in Jamaica Queens, NY on Sunday November 13, 1988. Shortly after he was born Frederick moved to Miramar, Florida with his Mother (Martine Gourgue), and two older brothers (Irvin Gourgue, Hubert Gourgue)where he attended school up to the 2nd grade. His mother sent him to live in Queens, New York with his aunt Mirlene Gourgue to attend 3rd grade where he was asked to skip to the 5th grade due to his high test scores. Frederick then returned home back to Florida to live with his Mother and older brother, Hubert in Pembroke Pines, Florida. He then found his 2nd passion behind film, Competitive Sailing, where he placed several times in State and National Regattas for 1-man Sunfish sailboats. Sailing and film took over his life which included certifications such as Scuba Diving, CPR, and a non-stop 1 Mile swimming requirement he accomplished. Frederick continued his education in Shawnee Mission, Kansas where he studied B&W film photography and development. After completion he came back to Florida and completed a course at Aukela Christian Military Academy where he learned leadership skills he would later on use as a 1st AD. Late 2009 Frederick moved to Highland Park, Los Angeles and began finding work as an Intern for Directors, Production companies, and productions. Almost instantly Industry AD's and Producers took notice to him and became his mentors, he built a name for himself which eventually lead to his career as a 1st Assistant Director. Frederick now lives in North Hollywood, CA working as an Assistant Director on Commercials, Film, TV, and Music Videos.
