Darren Lee Murphy

Darren Lee Murphy is an actor, writer, Olivier Award Nominee producer and newly director. His debut film as writer / director Blueberry Smoothie won the New York Award for Best Short LGBTQ+ and for his performance in Blueberry Smoothie he won best Performance at the LGBTQ+ Toronto Film Festival 2023. He worked as an actor on several TV and Film productions before making his way to writing and producing his own work. He is due to direct two other short films written by Darren and his screen writing collaborator Sharon Burrell - Glitch and Shift before pre-production starts on his debut feature Happy Camper later in 2024. He is also known for The Washing Machine (2010), The Rubicon (2013) and Love Me Tender... ish (2003).
