Tesh Beckham

Tesh was born in Tacoma, Washington, but raised in Florida. Her ethnic background is that of Mulatto (White Irish & Black Native American). Tesh prides herself on being different and sometimes going against the grain. Her love for people and natural ability to mimic others is what lead her to acting. This of course after learning she was too short for runway modeling, which placed her as a print model. She has also done backup vocals as well as danced for various artists. Although Tesh is multi-talented, acting is her first love. In her spare time she works to complete her autobiography and runs her own business. She has always been eager to learn as much as she can about life and people, but most of all, where she belongs within the two. Tesh believes that growing up in the ghetto gave her inspiration to want more out of life. Her childhood was not typical; in fact she was abused as a child, which ultimately lead to her leaving home while still attending high school. Tesh has always been a hard worker, carrying the load of multiple jobs to survive. In search of a life change, she decided to make a big sacrifice and return to college to pursue a Bachelors Degree in Theatre. She has always had a passion for entertainment and working an everyday 9 to 5 was not how she wanted her career to be determined. During her senior year of college she was involved in a horrific car accident and was told by every doctor and therapist that she was fortunate not to have been paralyzed. Everyone told her to put school on hold for a year allowing her time to heal and recuperate. Tesh refused and with her faith in God and support of the FAU Theater department, friends and hard work she (completing 37 credits in one quarter) still graduated on time with honors! The stress of school, along with severity of her injuries and the amount of work that lay before her was nonetheless overwhelming, but she never gave up. Tesh believes that her life today is proof that there is a God and he always rewards faith, patience and perseverance.
