Alexandros Oikonomidis

Alexandros Ikonomidis is a freelance director and DOP with extensive experience in editing and visual effects. He has collaborated with prestigious production houses, advertising agencies, and International broadcasters in Europe and the Middle East, such as the BBC, MTV, ITN, Globecast, ESPN, LeoBurnett, TBWA/RAAD, DDB, FP7 McCann, and many more. A Seed for Change is his first feature length documentary that took 7 years in the making. Because of financial restrictions Alex had to research, write, produce, direct, film and edit everything on his own. The film premiered at Thessaloniki International Film Festival on March 10, 2018, and was officially selected to be screened at the Swiss 'Festival Du Film Vert' in Lausanne and Neuchatel. It was also officially selected to be screened at the 'BIFED - Bozcaada International Festival of Ecological Documentary' in Turkey (October 11, 2018), at the 'PriMed - International Festival of Mediterranean Documentary and Reportage' in France (November 29, 2018) and at Santa Barbara International film festival (January 2019 - February 09, 2019).
