Francisco Javier Celhay Balmaceda (Concepción, September 25, 1978) is a Chilean theater, film and television actor. His career began in 2009 in the movie Grade 3, playing David. In the same year, he quickly began his television career with special performances on the youth television series Corazón rebelde on Channel 13, then in 2010 he also participated with special performances on the television series Primera dama playing a Journalist. In 2011 he participated in the TVN miniseries Cumpleaños, playing Federico Vial and thus increasing his popularity. But it was not until 2013 that he participated in the Chilean miniseries Ecos del Desierto broadcast by Chilevisión, which launched him on the television market. In 2014 he began his career as a director with the play Hansel and Gretel. His great leap as a leading role occurs in the film "In the Greyscale" in 2015. He participated in the series Gemelas, for Chilevisión, which earned him recognition as Best Supporting Actor at the Teleseries 2019 awards. He currently resides in Mexico, where he has been part of the acclaimed series La casa de las flores, by Netflix, and El Juego de las Llaves, produced by Pantaya for Amazon Prime TV.
