Born in Monterrey Nuevo Leon, Mexico, Andrea is a bi-lingual international award winning film and stage actress, based in Los Angeles and Mexico City. She maintains dual citizenship between both countries. Acting veteran since age six, she began her artistic career in Theatre, training in voice, movement and dance. In her early teens she moved to Los Angeles with her family, where she began to get involved in screen work. Andrea was seen in a stage production at the Colony Theatre in Burbank by a manager, which earned her representation and she began to book work in film, television, and commercials. Intensive theatre and film training continued since, adding activities like gymnastics, karate, improvisation and stunts. She studied at Emerson College, getting a BFA in Musical Theatre, with an emphasis on directing, while maintaining an active professional life in the Boston and New York areas. She won the "Best Actor" award in New Hampshire for the short film 'Empty Room', as well as "Best Supporting Actress" award in NYC for the short film 'Plutoed.' She was also nominated for a "Best Actress" award at the Santa Monica Film Festival. She hosted the radio show "Standing Room Only," for Broadway and Film Music, in Boston for 3 years on 88.9FM As an artist, she hopes her work can motivate, move, and connect others to the truest version of themselves. She aims to create meaning, spread awareness, and help people process new ideas or emotions, through the power of story. Her life's goal is to inspire empathy for all living things, through showing different perspectives, ways of thinking and being, and allowing for the transformative and transcendent effects of self-identification through playing a role truthfully and authentically. She is an actor by necessity. She dives deeply into the study every script and character that she plays. She is experienced, professional, and inspired by daily life and the work of her peers. She is easily affected by environments and excited by new experiences. She is nomadic, a business woman, an adventurer, experimental, reflective, introspective and an active observer of the human condition and human connection.
