Calais Campbell

Height: 6'8 / Weight: 300 / College: Miami (FL) / Hometown: Aurora, CO / DOB: September 1,1986 / Pro Bowl Section: 2014 Calais Campbell, pronounced "cuh-LAY-us", attended South (Aurora, CO) High School and was a two-time All-State pick as a DE as a junior and TE as a senior. He established a state record with 58.0 sacks over his four seasons with 38.0 coming in his final two seasons. In seventh grade, both Calais' parents lost their jobs and the family lived out of a homeless shelter for eight months, even through hardships, the Campbell family continued to excel in football. Younger brother, Jared, was a SS at Miami (FL) and spent time with the Cardinals in training camp in 2011, his older brother Ciare was a DB at Colorado State from 2004-05, and his other brother Raj played football at Butte and Orange County Junior Colleges and was a receiver at Adams State. The Cardinals second-round selection (50th overall) in the 2008 NFL Draft has appeared in 106 regular games in his first seven seasons (88 starts) and all seven postseason games. Campbell was given the franchise designation on 3/2/12 before agreeing to a five-year contract on 5/10/12. DE Calais Campbell finished the 2014 regular season with 59 tackles. Combined with his 7.0 sacks the 2014, season represents his sixth consecutive season with at least 50 tackles and 6.0 sacks, extending his franchise record. Last season Campbell became the first player in team history to record 50+ tackles and 6.0+ sacks in five consecutive seasons. With his performance in '14, Campbell became the first defensive lineman in team history with at least 6.0 sacks in six different seasons. He entered the 2014 campaign tied with Curtis Greer (5).
