John J. Palomino

John J. Palomino was born in New Rochelle, NY to April and John J. Palomino Sr. He is an Actor and Filmmaker, that spent most of his childhood playing sports and spending time with family. He had his first on-set experience when he got featured in a United Way Commercial starring NFL Hall of Famer, Derrick Brooks. Then some years later, he decided to take an Actors Workshop as an Elective in College; it was this moment that art and acting became a true passion of his. Since then, John has had the opportunity to work and learn from a talented breed of thespians and filmmakers. In 2019, he starred in his first national commercial (NFL Thursday Night Football), and was a supporting actor in his first feature film, Back to The Goode Life, which aired on BETher; The film starred Kyla Pratt and was produced by the TATE Brothers (Larron, Larenz & Lahmard Tate). He's also starred in the popular international true-crime series, Joe Kenda: Homicide Hunter, which airs on I.D. (Investigation Discovery); He's been featured in a Spike TV Bellator MMA Commercial and a BET "50 Central" promo, starring Hip Hop Mogul, 50 Cent. John has also worked on a countless amount of Independent projects, that include the male lead actor of the Award Winning Short Film Largo, and BossipTV comedy series. Aside from Acting, John has done some writing, directing, and producing. His first short film, "Man of the House", briefly shows what he and his family experienced after his father died by Suicide. The film, which is based on a true story, aired locally in NY on LMCTV, was a 2018 Gentleman Jack Real to Reel Atlanta Film Selection, a 2017 Revolt Film Festival Finalist, and won "Best Promotional Trailer" at the 2017 Content Creators Of Atlanta Awards. John has partnered with organizations like the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) to bring awareness to Suicide Prevention and hopes to end the stigma associated with Mental Health and Suicide. He's hosted screening's and panel discussions with SCAD Atlanta, The Black Child Development Institute, Jack and Jill of America, Inc., Remington Boys and Girls Club, Mental Health America, NYPD Special Victims Unit, Mt. Vernon Youth Police Academy, and The Atlanta Mayor's Office of Film and Entertainment; all to educate and help the families struggling with a Suicide loss or any Mental Health concern. Man of the House has connected John with a ton of advocates and professionals in the mental health community. He was a finalist for an Achievement Award at the 8th Annual Non-Profit Trinity Awards and the film has been recognized by celebrities like, Mack Wilds; Lauren London; Benny Boom; Eva Marcille; Omar Epps and King Bach.
