Douglas Proulx is a musician, T.V. host, Producer, director and has been an active member of the music scene in Vancouver, Los Angeles and San Francisco over the past 37 years. His major groups that he wrote and played for as well as co-produced were punk legends ''Death Sentence'' the high energy powerpop rock band ''The Pasties'' a more stylish powerpop group ''Mr Pink'' as well as doing sessions/tours for ''The Kim Band (Mudgirl), Todd Kerns (Age of Electric/Slash/Static in Stereo) along with Todd's siblings. He is known for his hard hitting energetic style his ability to do his tracks in one take and solid backing vocals. He has formed a Stranglers tribute (Guitar/Vocals) ''The Manglers'', A B52's tribute ''Rawk Lobster'' and in the past was a member of an Angel City tribute, a Cheap Trick tribute and a one off Devo fundraising tribute. He is a status Metis with Lakota ancestry, a descendant of the Spotted Elk and survivors of Wounded Knee. He has also traced hid lineage back to Norman France and Scotland. From 2000 to 2007 he co wrote, produced, filmed, wrote, hosted and recorded the music and narrated the LEO award winning nationally syndicated variety series ''Beyond Words'' on the Aboriginal People's Television Network. Following that his production company started up a west coast series ''MY-TV'' which showcased hip hop and various Indigenous artists in and around the lower mainland. This series enjoyed popularity among Native youth and was nominated for 3 prestigious awards. Soon after the production company embarked on an animation series ''Amy's mythic mornings'' that won awards for its cutting edge animation. Douglas directed all voice overs and co-write/produced the music. Douglas is in pre-production on 2 documentaries, working on a solo album and writing a third Death Sentence LP.
