Yasmine Wadi

Yasmine Wadi is an Award Winning Egyptian / Palestinian Director, Writer and an Actress. Since she was 17 , She started to self taught about Filmmaking while studying at school and while she was studing Law at cairo university . After Finishing studying Law and co-write ,Directed and Acted in a few short projects . In 2009, Yasmine co-wrote the short Ay'nan which was selected in a few international film festivals and got good reviews from the film directors in egypt like " khairy beshara " . She decided to go for her passion professionally so she got her filmmaking diploma from the French university in Egypt . She worked as an assistant director in a few long featured films like " Sandouq al dunia " by Emad el bahat" which was one of the fellow directors with the late " Yousif chahine " and also in " Fragile" by "Ahmed Rashwan" , That is also beside her part in co-writing and acting in Theater . She Won Two awards for her short " Career Shift" 2021 from New York Movie Awards " best Director Short film & best first time director , Which was premiered in Montreal Independant film festival and officially selected from more other international film festivals .
