Born in Toronto, Canada Samii began acting at 11 years old after being scouted in a musical theatre performance. Known for her long red hair, she has appeared in numerous commercials (Zellers, McDonalds, ING, Vidal Sassoon, etc) and television shows including Canadian hits like Flashpoint and Degrassi. After attending a performing arts high school, Samii began an undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto in Cinema Studies.
