Born in Georgia in 1988, J.C. "Colby" Doler grew up in the small town of Grantville. His first involvement in the performing arts came with the Grantville Playmakers, a local group of talent that specialized in original live performance productions. At 17 he wrote, produced, directed and starred in a 5-act play that inspired him to move towards film production. In 2011, at 23 years old, J.C. began his first foray into the film industry by Directing his first short film "The Zombie Vlogs", a found-footage horror mockumentary. After working on various feature film productions as crew in Atlanta, GA, he made his biggest jump when he co-directed "Red River Ode" in 2013 for the Louisiana Film Prize where it received a Top 20 selection, Top 5 selection and a Founders Circle Grant. Since then, J.C. has worked on dozens of short and feature films from writer, director, producer, editor, actor and more. J.C. resides in Northwest Louisiana and is always working on his next film.
