Brought up around his father's television studio at Kansas State University and being involved in various theater productions in elementary, middle, and high school, Keenan J. Mock was introduced to the arts at a very early age. He made his first short film in the 8th grade, and hasn't looked back since. His other interests growing up included pitching baseball, playing trumpet in the jazz and marching band, and camping and hiking with the Boy Scouts, where he earned the rank of Eagle Scout. Keenan's high school films were featured at various local and regional film festivals in the midwest, and in the summer of 2008 he made the move to California to pursue his dreams in Hollywood. His buddy-cop drama The Third Degree was a State Finalist at the 2010 CSU Media Arts Festival. His heist thriller Boden's Mate was a Campus Finalist at the 2011 Campus MovieFest, and won Best Thriller at the 2011 International Hollywood Student Shorts Film Festival. And most recently his romantic comedy Dancing was featured at the January 2012 NewFilmmakers LA showcase at the Sunset Gower Studios. Keenan graduated in May 2012 from California State University, Long Beach with a Bachelor of Arts in Film Production, with an emphasis in Directing. He is currently working at Light Iron in Hollywood, CA, a leading post production facility known for their on-set and DI work on films such as The Social Network, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, and the upcoming Ender's Game... tent-pole films of the style Keenan hopes one day to direct.
