Felipe Holguín Caro is a Colombian-born director, writer, and co-founder of Cumbia Films, with a nationally and internationally recognized film career. He has worked in cities such as Bogota, New York, São Paulo, and Los Angeles and currently resides in Cartagena, Colombia. He began his career in 2012 as an assistant director on Film Independent's “Involve” project in Los Angeles. He has received awards for several short films, such as “Mañana” (2009), “Salvador” (2010) and “La cachera” (2019). His first feature film, “La suprema” (2023), produced by Cumbia Films and others, has won numerous awards, including the Coral Post-production Award at the Havana International Film Festival and the Audience Award at FICCI. He is currently working on his second feature film, “La Sombra de la Bestia”, and continues to direct commercials and collaborate on other film projects.
