Faizan Sheikh

I am a professional and trained actor based in Los Angeles and New York City. I was born in Lahore, Pakistan, moved to New York City in my teens and moved to Los Angeles 4 years ago. After moving to LA I decided to 100% focus on training as an actor. I studied Sandy Meisner technique for 2.5 years, Uta Hagen and Stella Adler for a year. I have also studied Alexander, Knight Thompson, Fitzmaurice and Linklater body, speech and voice work. I remember as a kid growing up in Pakistan my father and mother would rent me movies of Charlie Chaplin, Laurel and Hardy, Bollywood Dance numbers and Hollywood action movies. When I was 6 years old, my first ever role was playing an Afghani Girl (in an all boys school) and then by 9 I played Charlie Chaplin in Pakistan. I have also directed 5 short films based on Parkinson's disease, domestic violence, racism and Islamophobia. My Parkinson's film, My Angel My Hero, went to 25 film festivals, screening from Germany, Kenya, South Africa, Canada, India, Pakistan to the United States worldwide.
