K.C. Fitzgerald has been telling stories since he was 5 years old. Born and raised in the shadow of Hollywood, K.C. has had the privilege of working with some of the industry's most prestigious filmmakers, including renowned director Christopher Nolan. As a novelist and writer turned filmmaker, K.C.'s literary talents have produced over a dozen feature film and television scripts, including a streaming pilot for esteemed indie distribution company A24. His stories always center around seemingly normal characters caught in unusual or extraordinary circumstances. Combined with a distinct, evocative visual language inspired by the likes of Stanley Kubrick, Andrei Tarkovsky, and Robert Zemeckis, these stories serve as a vehicle to not only entertain, but to create a visceral, emotional connection with the audience. In a time of increasingly mass produced, globalized film, K.C. seeks to create a New American cinema, one that pushes the boundaries of what is possible on screen while telling stories about average Americans from all walks of life. His films aim to be the mythic and truthful at the same time - both mirror and reflection. Truth, 24 frames per second. But never without asking the question - what is truth? And how do we, as individuals, see it? K.C. has screened short films at numerous festivals around the United States, including the Los Angeles Film Festival, Palm Springs International, and the Annapolis Film Festival.
