Robert Field

Born in the United Kingdom in 1973, he moved to the United States when he was young, finally settling in the small town of Enon, Ohio. He graduated from high school in 1991, joining the United States Air Force right out of high school. Upon leaving the service, he went to Bowling Green State University where he majored in Journalism and History. College not being his thing at that point, he left after only two years, not finishing either degree. He went to work for a retail sporting goods store and was eventually transferred to Chicago, Illinois. It was there he met his wife of 13 years. Upon leaving the retail business, he moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 2001 where he began working as a manager for a hospital. It was while he was working there in 2002 that he first got into the WWII re-enacting community. He joined a re-enacting unit based out of Blairsville, Pa and worked on the book "Parachute Infantry" by Robert Todd Ross in 2008. The book was finally published in 2010. From there, he joined a unit based in Buffalo, NY and attended D-Day Conneaut in 2009. It was there he met Tino Struckmann and Steve Effler. They asked him to be a part of the movie "Red Rose Of Normandy" and he accepted a bit part in the film. His part was to be much greater in the film, but scheduling conflicts did not allow his role to be expanded. He went back to school in 2009 and completed his degree in 2012. He is married with three children and resides in Apollo, Pennsylvania.
