David Elliott was born at St. Mary's Hospital, Newcastle. He was a forceps baby. As a teenager he worked on various television and film projects, playing minor or background roles while developing his craft on stage with The Royal Shakespeare Company and local community theatre groups. David's first screenplay was sold when he was 18. He used this money to finance a move to the United States. David spent a decade in the Chicago area, taking on further small roles, working as a freelance writer/director, and training with such notable groups as Second City, Steppenwolf, and the Annoyance. His short films placed at TIFF among other film festivals, his plays and revues were met with sell-out crowds, and his documentaries won awards such as Current TV's Doc of the Week. It was at this point David too a seven year hiatus to focus on sobriety, volunteer work, and traveling to various third world countries to help build farms. Since his return to the arts, he has appeared on panel shows, murder mystery shows, in the background of several commercials, and very technically worked with Stephen Spielberg twice, but only if you don't ask any follow up questions. He's also sold two screenplays. His debut feature film, fifteen years in the making, is due for a 2023 release.
