Michael Dahlstrom

Michael Dahlstrom is an Australian film director. His first feature documentary, The Animal Condition, looks into all sides of the animal welfare debate in Australia. It premiered at Melbourne International Film Festival in August 2014, selling out both screenings. It has also screened at Portland Film Festival and sold out screenings at CinefestOZ in WA and the Sydney Underground Film Festival. Critic Jim Schembri called it "a film about exploration, not just of a hot-button issue but of what it means to be a true documentarian." His next documentary, In Smoke, explores the life and regrets of a former stand over man.
