Matt Grue is the founding Artistic Director of Ignition Theatre. He has directed more than 40 critically acclaimed productions including: Proof, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Tuesdays with Morrie, Red Light Winter, tick, tick...BOOM!, Deathtrap, My Name is Rachel Corrie, The Drawer Boy, Year After Year, [title of show], Bug, The Glass Menagerie and The Year of Magical Thinking amongst others. He has also produced the Canadian premieres of Miranda Sings!, Rhapsody in Seth and Adam Pascal: In Concert. Matt also wrote and produced the feature film adaptation of his hit stage musical Year After Year (5 AMPIA nominations including Best Picture) and most recently wrote and produced the original thriller Break On Through (Best Screenplay AMPIA nomination, Best Picture nomination NoHo Cinefest and Best Feature Winner CAFF). With several theatrical and film projects in development, Matt is one of Canada's most prolific theatre and film artist's.
