Josh Lefers is a television personality, writer, director and executive producer who studied acting in his late teens under world-renowned Aussie actress Rachael Griffiths. He was awarded Dux for his perfect score in English in his final year of High School and his later studies include a Masters in Late Renaissance English History at Melbourne University and a degree in Professional Writing and Editing at RMIT. He has had numerous television appearances in shows such as Neighbours, Rove, Coxy's Big Break, The Riff and Sunrise and has starred in both ten episode series, Freeshit Men and Josh and Steve's 8 Ball on Channel V alongside his onscreen partner, business partner and lifelong friend Stephen Wools. Josh is the lead figure in a documentary about the world beneath New York City (in search of the Mole People). He plays lead role in the feature film 151 Kent Avenue (set to be released 2014), which he co-wrote and directed with actor, writer and director Cam Nugent. Josh's other credits as writer and director include Channel V's Freeshit Men and Josh and Steve's 8 Ball. Smaller director credits also include behind-the-scenes of the Sci-fi horror feature film, Crawlspace (of Wolf Creek Exec. Producers), and he has been scheduled to direct the behind-the-scenes for the feature film Sailboat (scheduled to be shot in California early 2014), of which he is also an Executive Producer. Outside of film and TV, Josh has performed as a stand-up at the world's most renowned and impossibly coveted comedy spot, Comedy Cellar in New York, (where comedians Jerry Seinfield and Dave Chapelle continue to perform) and he has performed on stage in Vegas alongside the hunks from Thunder From Down Under. Josh owns a swag of companies (17 at last count) and is Executive Creative Director at international advertising agency Big Dog Creative (in which he also spent two years as Editor-in-Chief for national art and culture mag T-squat). Owner and award-winning designer of four bars/restaurants (Pawn & Co. nominated number 11 in the world of best new bars in 2013), Josh is a well-known figure in Australia's bar industry, with numerous interviews on national television and in newspapers such as The Age and The Herald Sun. Other companies owned by Josh include touring company KRBDE (responsible for touring bands like Hanson, Aqua, Dead Kennedy's, Sublime), alcohol company East Ninth Brewing, condom company Legends Condoms and a series of health clubs. Several upcoming film and television roles and ventures are scheduled in the USA and Australia for 2014/2015.
