Sarah grew up in a very small town near Fresno CA, in Reedley, and then as a teen moved to Grass Valley CA, the foothills near Sacramento CA. At 17, Sarah decided she was going to continue working hard to save money to move to LA to go to The Van Mar Academy of Motion Picture Television Acting and try to get into the acting game. After working nonstop, she saved enough money, graduated and moved to LA! She attended that very academy, was trained by Ivan Markota, and there she got her first line which was in 8 Simple Rules, where she played a friend of one of the daughters. Sarah was new to Hollywood and was supposed to be an extra, and when first pulling up to Disney Studios, they had her listed as Sarah Bass, so knowing she wasn't off to a great start, with the last name of a fish, while on the elevator ride up, she was telling this complete stranger how she wished she just had one line, and less than an hour later, she was in costume change and being given lines and stage directions and yes at one point it looked like she tried to exit through the window but this was her first live studio audience and the stage directions can be a bit confusing! This made Sarah SAG eligible but decided to wait on the SAG card until an opportunity presented itself for use of SAG. In Hollywood, Sarah gained more small roles but ironically, she got the starring role in a psychological thriller called Slough of Despond, which was filming in San Francisco and Sacramento, near home, so with her certificate from her acting school in hand and acting credits now under her belt, at the age of 20 she moved home and filmed Slough for a year. Due to life circumstances, acting had to be placed on the back burner for a while but a few years ago, in 2019, Sarah decided the acting fever was too strong and hit the ground running determined to make it a full-time career. Currently (2022 ), she is working on a few projects, one being a spin off Walking Dead series if AMC decides to pick it up, one of the lead roles as Katjaa. To keep those acting skills sharp, she is part of a Murder Mystery Theatre Company in between gigs, where she strengthens her improv skills, memorization and works on making bold character choices in the moment. See you on the big screen!
