City of birth : Dallas, Texas, USA

Kenny Peters is a unique actor and vocalist originally from Dallas, Texas, and residing in Austin. Though actively involved in music and theater in his youth, he did not pursue music until after graduation and began performing in local nightclubs in the mid-1980s, largely in the Oak Lawn circuit of Dallas. He was approached by producer Jeff Rane to participate in new community musical theater projects and then, other charitable benefits within the community. He is also known as being one of the first karaoke disc jockeys in the United States in 1990, right before the "karaoke boom". Those weekly performance opportunities were imperative; increasing and improving audience interaction capabilities. He has continued to host various karaoke shows until 2020, with the 3 years prior to that time encompassing a return to college to complete a Bachelor of Science degree in Audio Production and Engineering. Originally leaving the karaoke scene in 1991, he pursued musical aspects such as experimental theater projects like "Temps" but also enjoyed well-received performances in fun, live shows like the first off-Broadway run of "SchoolHouse Rock: Live!". Relocating to Austin, TX in 2001, he began getting more interested in film & television work, landing extras roles in the film "Machete" and the television show "Friday Night Lights" for 14 episodes. Several student films and independent projects followed and in 2014 he filmed "Shilo" for Living Heart Productions, "What We Give", for AMAA Productions, and 2 the award-winning documentaries including "The Hunger Stat" regarding weight loss and health and "Growing Brilliance: Kids in Film", directed by Wendy Crouse. in 2013 a chance meeting with veteran actor Terry Kiser led to his becoming Kiser's Operations Manager for The Actors Arena until 2016 and Kiser's personal assistant. The two maintain a close friendship still and most likely will. He has been working on and recording songs for an upcoming debut album release in 2021 called "Worth The Wait" on his private label, Bootertunes ltd. The album has been in production since 2014 and is a concept album surrounded by the events in his life. Originally scheduled for release upon graduation from his degree work in 2020, the corona-virus knocked out plans for that event which also provided additional time for tightening up of songs included in the project. A one-man show performing the entire release is in conceptualization to coincide with the full album release. He has also created an internet television concept called New Phoenix Television which will feature creative work and contributions by artists aged 30 or older. Three books are also being completed; one, "Discrediting God" has been garnering some attention, in addition to "Then, When I Was Five" (an autobiography) and "Witchwood". The latter is being developed for a feature film for 2022 release with Peters writing the screenplay and novelization on a 30 year old novel idea.
