Don Ellione aka Friðjón Elli Hafliðason was born 16. September 1981 in Reykjavík, Iceland. He is the son of Hafliði Kristjörnsson and Hafdís Steingrímsdóttir. He was raised on the family farm at Birnustaðir in the area of Skeiðin in the south part of Iceland. His natural environment on the farm surrounded by a mountain, green fields, animals and a big family gave him a excellent conditions to grow up with an open and very creative mind making stories and adventures of his own at a young age. His interest in theater began at very young age. All through his childhood he made up stories and in company with his sisters and brothers he performed plays in the living room at home for his parents and other relatives. He also managed and wrote plays at his elementary school and performed them with his classmates for other children and their parents. In collage he was very active in social life and performed every year in the schools theater. At the same time he signed up at the local theater group, Leikfélag Selfoss and has participated in all sort of theater work at that group and still is (2013). He has worked as an actor, writer, director, technician and been on the board at Leikfélag Selfoss and is the vice chairman of the group. He has worked a lot with children at the theater and a group of three children performed his play based on old Icelandic story in the city hall of Reykjavík in the yearly art festival of Menningarnótt (Night of arts), directed by Don Ellione were he also played a small part. He has also played in a few films and TV series as an extra
