Favour Onwuka is an award winning Afro Canadian actor, writer, and director. She is best known for her work on Dying to Belong (Lifetime Network), alongside 90120's Shannon Doherty, as well as The Order (Netflix). She won a Leo award for best Lead Actress for her performance in Dying to Belong. Born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, Favour always held a deep appreciation for the performing arts. When her family relocated to Calgary, Alberta, Favour became regularly involved in her elementary school plays and subsequently began performing in community theatre productions, in her teens. Soon after, she was cast in various independent films, as well as a commercial for Much Music. Upon moving to Vancouver in 2017, Favour began to pursue acting professionally. Favour has written and directed several short films, including Everybody Says, Lights Camera Dream and The Igloo, which won Best Ensemble at the Joey Awards. She has appeared in national and international commercials for major brands including Nintendo and Samsung. Favour is passionate about telling the authentic stories of people who are not usually in the spotlight. Favour Onwuka is based in Vancouver, British Columbia.
