From his youngest days forward, Sean knew that artistic expression was at the heart of his being. Growing up in Los Angeles, a mecca of self-discovery and reinvention, Sean was raised in a colorful world painted by Hollywood nostalgia and rock'n'roll culture, which immersed him in a realm of imagery that was gruesome and absurd, yet challenging and imaginative. From those formative influences, he gained inspiration and soon began translating his visions to paper, canvas, and eventually film; a manner of conveying to others the graphic and stylistic influences that he internalized. After graduating from USC where he majored in visual communication and marketing, Sean began his duel career as an artist and filmmaker. He has worked as a graphic designer / creative director for several fashion, marketing and entertainment companies throughout the years, including King Baby Studio, Sicky Eyewear, and Imprint Entertainment. Eventually, Sean went out on his own and started McCarthy Design, a graphic design and video editing firm which completed projects for multiple clients across all industries. Next, Sean partnered with director/producer Ben Burke to form Torn & Restored Pictures, an independent film production company with an emphasis on high-concept action films. Under the T&R flag, Sean directed the feature film "OUR WAY", produced and edited "LET IT BLEED", "BETTER CRIMINAL", as well as several short films and music videos. Sean then moved to television where he worked on numerous episodic TV programs such as "ANIMAL KINGDOM", "Marvel's RUNAWAYS", "THE AFFAIR", "LEGION" and "STRANGE ANGEL". He continues to write, direct and produce his own original properties for both film and television, hoping to one day share his unique creativity with a wider audience. Sean believes that applying one's talent to multiple forms of creative expression is not only inspirational and challenging, but also necessary for both personal growth and artistic success.
