The Brazilian actor Paulo Leal de Melo Neto was born in Maceió, Alagoas, Brazil, to Célia Bernardes, a hairstylist, and Paulo Leal Jr., an economist. His father has Italian ancestry, while his mother has German ancestry. When Paulo was about one year old his parents separated and his mother moved to the southern part of Brazil, taking Paulo with her to a tiny beach town called Tramandaí, Rio Grande do Sul. Which is where he grew up. Paulo started taking acting classes when he was 13 years old in Osório, a city nearby his hometown. At the age of 22, Paulo moved up to Rio de Janeiro to start working at Globo television. In 2008 got his first role on a soap opera called "Minha Terra, Minha Mãe", which was on air in Angola, Portugal, Macau and in addition to other Portuguese speaking countries, excluding Brazil. In 2009 got the role of "Raulzão" on the soap opera "Tempos Modernos" - Globo TV. Right after the end of this soap, in 2010, Paulo moved to New York city to study at the traditional school of acting, Stella Adler. Back in Brazil, in 2011, he played "João Paixão" on the soap opera "Amor e revolução" - SBT TV. In 2012, Paulo was seeing as "Tadeu Oliveira" on the musical soap "Rebelde" - Record TV. On another musical soap, "Chiquititas"-SBT TV in 2013/14, Paulo got the role of "Dr. Fernando Brausen" a medical doctor and a clown. Also in 2014, he joined the crew of the comedy movie "Desculpe o Transtorno" by "Tomas Portella". In the early months of 2015, Paulo played Romeo on the short movie "Romeo Reboot", a production based on the Shakespeare's novel "Romeo and Juliet", directed by "Manuel Nogueira". He participated in a handful plays throughout his acting career.
