Thomas Miklautsch

Thomas Miklautsch (born: 26th of Oct. 1971 in Klagenfurt/Austria) possesses twenty years experience in the creation of extreme sports productions, documentary films and promotional materials for both private and public organizations. He is an accomplished Director/Writer, Camera Operator and Editor. His company New World Spirits Film Creation has a more than 20 year business relationship with fellow Austrian company Red Bull, filming and co-directing the Red Bull Cliff-Diving World Series in 2009 and 2010 and many other events and projects. Further producing documentaries such as the surrounding of the Cape Horn in 2010/11, a film about Cliff Diving world champion Orlando Duque in the Amazon Rainforest in 2014, a documentary about the "Sustainable Life in the Amazon" in 2014/2015 and, finally a travel story about a Swiss adventurer crossing the entire Amazon River system with a self-made boat between called "Pura Vida" between 2012 and 2016. Most recently he was hired to make portraits about all Olympic sportsmen and women from Carinthia/Austria taking part in the Olympic Games of Rio de Janeiro 2016 by the Austrian Energy supplier Kelag. New World Spirits is producer of several projects for international sports channels as Eurosport, Fox Sports, ORF, Servus-TV, Discovery Channel, SRF, Outdoor Television and many more... since its appearing at the international TV-business. New World Spirits has garnered worldwide acclaim for it's documentary film projects which focus on nature/the environment and adventure/sports with an eye to demonstrating cultures and ways of being unbeknownst to most people working and living in industrial, first world societies. Further New World Spirits has won a long list of awards for its independent film productions yet also works to produce commercially viable sports events and promotional/marketing materials to meet the needs of established companies such as Tourism Boards, Local Government organizations (i.e. National Park Hohe Tauern...), Austrian Associations (i.e. OEAV; ÖSV;), International Companies as Adidas Eye Protection, Kelag, Camel Trophy, Red Bull/Red Bull Media-house...
