Richard Knight is a trained Mime Artist originally from Adelaide Australia. After completing a Drama Degree at THE SACAE now called Adelaide University he went on to train in Sydney Australia on a LECOQ based course where he was to train with Jacques Lecoq when he came to Adelaide. He then left for London to train as a Classical Actor at LAMDA, then went to Italy to train with Antonia FAVA then back to London again to train with various different teachers including Philippe Gaulier. He since has formed his own Mime Company called ''MIME THE GAP" and has performed around the world and the UK. He has teaches and directs and has worked for the RSC, The National Theatre, West End Shows, TV, and Film including Tim Burton's 'Sweeney Todd" as a Slow Motion Expert. He now teaches and continues to perform for professional theatre companies, Drama Schools and universities including both Oxford and Cambridge. He has won many Awards including "The European Street Entertainers Award", The open World Busking Competition in Sydney, and the "Bicentennial Award. Now he is experimentally with new ways of teaching and pushing the boundaries of Mime and Physical Theatre
