Kamal Ibrahim was born in Limerick City, Ireland, the son of Roma DeVito Ibrahim a loving mother and homemaker and Abdul Wahab Ibrahim a successful hotelier and restauranteur. It has been revealed that, "Kamal never aspired to work in the entertainment industry, since the age of about 11 after watching the 1985 hit movie 'TopGun' he had his heart set on becoming a pilot." Although, he always did have that streak of showmanship which he inherited from his mother who performed as a dancer and singer as a child. Kamal's first time in the spotlight came at the age of 19 when he was spotted at local a fashion show and was asked to take part in it. Not knowing quite what he was doing he still went up on stage and walked the catwalk receiving a full house applause for his entertaining style of runway modeling. Immediately after this he was picked by a local modeling agent who trained him and provided modeling work around Ireland for Kamal for the next 5 years. In 2009 Kamal entered and won the Mr Ireland Modeling contest and as a result was flown to South Korea to compete in Mr World 2010 representing Ireland. In March of 2010 Kamal won the title of Mr World, the largest global male contest involving 74 countries and watched by over 1 billion viewers and as such became the international ambassador and representative for the MWO (Miss World Organisation). Since winning the Mr Ireland contest in 2009 Kamal began appearing on local TV stations by invitation and worked as a host for many small time productions and shows. He hosted several charity fund raising events & dinner shows and soon began showing more interest in television presenting. After winning the Mr World contest Kamal was awarded more opportunities to produce and present local airtime shows the first of which was an interior design home show allowing him for the first time to research, write, produce and host his own show. Kamal continues to focus and progress with his television career however he has also been noticed for his extracurricular activities as a columnist, pilot, skydiver & extreme sportsman and humanitarian.
