Joey Skaggs, a graduate of the High School of Art and Design and the School of Visual Arts, is a satirist, performance artist, and activist who, since the 1960s, pioneered the use of the media as an integral part of his artwork. His art tackles far ranging cultural, political and social issues, with works that question and challenge authority. Joey Skaggs has appeared on numerous television shows including 20/20, Scams, Schemes and Scoundrels, The Word, Entertainment Tonight, Good Morning America, PM Magazine, and more. His work has been widely covered in the news, including CNN, NBC, CBS, ABC, and others. He is the subject of Andrea Marini's award-winning feature documentary Art of the Prank.
