Jasleen Kaur Sethi is a Director and Producer of documentaries, music videos and commercials. She spent 5 years in Africa, as a TV correspondent, freelance journalist, and photographer working for several news outlets and publications including Thompson Reuters, the BBC, Al Jazeera, The Guardian and Vanity Fair. In her corporate and charity work she has directed films for the United Nations, the UK Department for International Development, as well as smaller grassroots charities in countries from Rwanda to Nepal. Trained at the prestigious National Film and Television School in the UK, she also has an MA in Human Rights and is the author of the book "The Body Commodity: Trafficking Women in Post Conflict Eastern Europe". She has used her experience in the field and in the industry to teach and train in community and youth media. She speaks and works in both English and French.
