Height: 6'4 / Weight: 318 / College: Texas / Hometown: Houston, TX / DOB: November 15,1980 Cory attended North Shore (Galena Park, TX) High School where he was named USA Today's National Defensive Player of the Year and an consensus first team All-American as a senior after he recorded 215 tackles, 15.0 sacks, 22 tackles for loss, six forced fumbles, five fumble recoveries and four INTs. He was named the nation's top linebacker by Parade and earned first-team AP All-State and Texas Sports Writers Association honors, was named the Texas Class 5A Defensive Player of the Year, and won the state Class 5A title in discus as a junior and senior. In 2014, he was one of four honorees to be inducted into the Men's Athletics Hall of Honor at Texas, one of the most cherished athletics traditions at the university. Originally drafted by the Detroit Lions in the third round (66th overall) of the 2003 NFL Draft. Redding re-signed with Detroit on a one-year contract on 4/27/06 before being designated as the team's franchise player before signing a seven-year contract extension with the Lions on 7/16/07. Traded to the Seattle Seahawks along with a fifth round pick on 3/14/09 and played two seasons in Seattle. He then signed a two-year contract with the Baltimore Ravens on 3/22/10 as an unrestricted free agent, then signed a three-year contract with the Indianapolis Colts on 3/14/12 as an unrestricted free agent before agreeing to a two-year contract with the Cardinals on 3/11/15. For his career, he has played in 176 games (146 starts) and has 530 tackles (359 solos), 35.5 sacks, 11 fumble recoveries, four forced fumbles and one interception. He has also played in 10 postseason games (nine starts) and has 26 tackles, 2.5 sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.
