Paul Bernon is a Co-Founder and Partner of Burn Later Productions. Paul began his producing career with the Joe Swanberg film "Drinking Buddies", starring Olivia Wilde, Jake Johnson and Anna Kendrick. Since then, he has gone on to produce 18 features and documentaries. Previous credits include: "The Intervention" (Paramount), "Results" (Magnolia), "Adult Beginners", (Radius, Universal), "Lemon" (Magnolia), and "Small Crimes" (Netflix). His documentary "Best Kept Secret", which deals with adults with autism aging out of the Newark school system, won a Peabody Award in 2014. His latest films, "A Kid Like Jake", starring Claire Danes, Jim Parsons, Octavia Spencer and Priyanka Chopra, and "Hearts Beat Loud", starring Nick Offerman, Kiersey Clemons, Ted Danson, and Toni Collette, had their world premieres at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival, and will be distributed in 2018 through IFC Films, Gunpowder & Sky, and Sony Pictures Worldwide. Paul began his business career working at a real estate investment trust and then acquired his first shopping center at the age of 24. He is now a Managing Partner at Rubicon Real Estate, LLC, which owns and manages approximately 1.5 million square feet of investment property across the United States. Paul is an active volunteer in Democratic politics. He is a board member and co-founder of the Creative Council at EMILY's List, and a member of the National Finance Committee at the Democratic National Committee. Paul was formerly finance chair for the campaigns of Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick, Attorney General Martha Coakley, and the Massachusetts Democratic Party. He is a past recipient of the Visionary Leadership Award from the Jewish Community Relations Council, and has lectured at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government, the University of Southern California, and Boston University about politics, film finance, production and entrepreneurship in media. Paul graduated from Boston University with a degree in Film Studies, and earned a Master's of Science in Real Estate from New York University. He is a member of the Producers Guild of America, and divides his time between the Los Angeles and Boston offices.
