At the age of 10, Johnnie Tangle was introduced to acting and at that moment he knew wanted to work in the entertainment industry. He has garnered many lead roles including The Lion in "The Wiz" and Judge Hawthorne in "The Crucible". Growing in the city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and upon graduating from high school with honors, Johnnie received an academic scholarship to attend. Florida A&M University. Due to the restrictions of his STEM scholarship, he majored in industrial engineering while taking theatre classes and acting in thesis films of the Florida State University Film School students. Upon graduating from Florida A&M University, Johnnie pursued his acting by taking classes at Act One and Second City (Chicago) and attending Tasha Smith's Actors Workshop (Atlanta) where he was able to hone his talent while living in Chicago. He landed several extra spots in films such as Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009) and The Dark Knight (2008). He eventually relocated to Los Angeles, California the Mecca of film. During his time since, Johnnie has landed extra roles in The Family Business (2018), the TV show Giants (2017), and Kevin Hart: What The Fit (2018) with Kevin Hart. Johnnie has also landed national campaign in the 135th anniversary of Valvoline last year. His commitment to community enrichment and youth charitable organizations such as Alpha Phi Alpha Esquire mentoring program, National Society of Black Engineers and LA Consistory 26 is never ending.
