Kim Bazan was adopted and grew up in the Midwest. She is of South Korean descent. As a child, she loved the arts and creating. She was an avid writer, reader, and film viewer and study. She spent a brief time at KSU to become a graphic artist, even though that did not work out, her passion for the arts did not stop as she eventually started out in background work, working on sets, being a PA, and various other set jobs to see how everything worked as much as she could while also pursuing drag racing and competing in car shows. Community theater was not in the cards, but she was able to work on various sets and have a role as a mother with a baby. She went on to attend a tech college to pursue a degree where she also pursued writing for the school paper and doing special guest interviews, her favorite interview and inspiration was Elizabeth Smart. After graduation, she was asked to do a promotional video and photo shoot for the program and school where she found herself on a website, in various publications, on buses, and even a billboard. Before that she did not consider being in front of the camera. Since then, she has been in short films, a web series, and a handful of local commercial and industrial work. Besides acting, she looks forward to producing and writing her own work with her own production company, Abandoned Child Productions. She hopes to use her company to collaborate and inspire others to keep taking action on their dreams no matter what adversity they have faced.
