Marí Alessandrini is is a film director and screenwriter from Patagonia, Argentina. From a young age she worked as a photographer and as a performer of various performing arts, travelling in South and North America. She went to Europe to study cinema, and graduates in Film Directing and Contemporary Visual Arts in Geneva. She made several short films and documentaries selected at international festivals and contemporary art centers. Her first feature film Zahorí, script residency Cinefondation-Cannes Film Festival, won among others the Pardo "The Films After Tomorrow" at the Locarno International Film Festival, and the award for best first film at the International Film Festival of India. Alessandrini is currently developing a new film, 8° Phase.
