Ash Wing

Ash Wing is an Australian filmmaker based in San Francisco. He is the founder of 616 Films, a filmmaking collective that operates out of San Francisco and has an office in Sydney, Australia. He has directed many short films, documentaries and music videos, some of which have received official selection into festivals like San Francisco IndieFest, Another Hole in the Head and Lift Off Los Angeles. He has directed music videos in the US and Australia for bands that include Bum Bag, Castlecomer, No Vacation, Fuzz Foxx, Hot Oil and Pink Zinc. Ash is an active writer, having written many spec feature length screenplays and television pilots in recent years. Since moving to San Francisco he has worked as an editor and has been directing his own films during this time. He is trained in film having graduated from AFTRS(Australian National Film School) and Bond University (Gold Coast), as well as having worked in various assistant roles for high end commercial production companies in Sydney.
