Billy grew up on a farm in Larue County, Kentucky and attended the University of Kentucky, achieving a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from the University of Kentucky. From an early age, he had an interest in industrial design and animation. He teaches 3D design and animation classes at the secondary and post-secondary levels, produces comics, and is a guest host on the pop culture show "Beaucoup Pop". His commercial work includes several built architectural designs as well as promotional media for a number of clients in regional circulation. His first effort was as writer/director on his inaugural feature "Steampunk". He followed this up with multidisciplinary turns in the short films "Paradise" (Director of Photography, Producer), "Malfunction"(Writer, Set Design, Art Design, Editing, Digital Effects) and "Swordbearer"(Armorer, Digital Effects). He had small roles in each except for "Swordbearer", and has turned in additional performances for many regional films, as well as occasionally filling in as an editor or production assistant. Billy began his first substantial acting role in the web series "Breakfast Impossible" as Captain Casual, a multidimensional superhero. The Project was the first SAG New Media Project in Kentucky, and a collaborative effort with Claude Miles and Steve Guynn. The trio shared directing, writing, and camera duties with Billy providing editing and digital effects.
