Kyle Autrey was born in Indiana in 1985, to his parents Pam and Phil Autrey, his father worked at a local Steel Mill and his mother was a homemaker. He began making films and home movies around age 12 with his father's camera, often having to hide it to not get in trouble. After graduating from Portage High School in 2004, Autrey attended Olivet Nazarene University where he played football and also played bass guitar with his band Single Legacy. During college Autrey became good friends with Justin DiSandro and through their mutual love for films formed the production company Found Dead Productions in early 2008. They produced their first short film shortly after graduation in 2008 called Slurpees (horror). The two would go on to collaborate in two more films in 2008, Blow Dart (Comedy) and the well-received slasher movie The Pizza Parlor Massacre (Horror). In early 2010, they reunited to pen, direct and star in Crawelspace (horror) a horror film set in Indiana about a haunted home. The next few years Autrey spent perfecting his craft and focusing solely on writing. In 2012, Autrey and DiSandro would once again reunite on the TV series Mi IV, Kyle acted as a producer in several episodes and penned the episode Depressing All the Wrong Buttons (spoof comedy). In 2013, Autrey co-wrote the screenplay for a horror film Gear Man. Gear man is still in production. Autrey again will reunite with Justin DiSandro on this project as co-writers.
