Joe Sanchez also known as MMJoe, Shakey, Or just plain Joe was born and raised in Weslaco, TX. As a child he used television to escape from his reality and started writing at the tender age of 13. At 14 he was already involved in the arts when he co-wrote episodes for "Heart Break High" a high school production that was broadcast on local affiliate K-Wes. At 15 he began pursing a journalism career with an understudy in film by signing up to Media Technology, where he learned all aspects of film and television. In the fall of 1998 he attended South Plains College, a small town community college located in Leveland, TX. While attending college he wrote movie reviews for the college paper, The Plainsman Press. In the fall of 2000 he dropped out, unable to earn his associates degree in Telecommunications. On December of 2000 he moved to L.A. and like many others learned that to make it in show business, it's best to start on your own terms. In the spring of 2001 he moved back home to care for his mother. In May of that year he moved to Orlando, Florida. In 2005 Joe Sanchez started his first small independent production company, StandAsOne Productions. In 2007 he co-founded his second independent production company, Silencio Production Films. In February of 2009 he began the F.I.L.M campaign as a way to promote independent filmmakers, producers, writers, actors and such in his general area. Joe Sanchez is also a member of the film group Tampa Bay Film Society. A film society based out of Tampa bay, made up by Independent artist of all sorts. He has edited and self produced a number of projects. His list include short films, music videos, and corporate related events. He has also been a consulting producer on several indie feature films. In the summer of 2009 he began production on his first independent feature, "Imported Affairs". In 2012 he moved to Los Angeles and earlier that year teamed up with the talented actor turn producer/director Timothy Woodward Jr. Who gave him his first major break. They collaborated on a several projects together. In 2014 he was involved in the "I Am F.I.L.M." Campaign, an online social network to help the young and talented find their voice in the entertainment industry. Today he continues to focus on writing, directing, and producing.
