Pepa Albornoz is a filmmaker born and raised in Venezuela. Before coming to the US, she studied Journalism in her native town, which prompted her to pursue an education in film from Columbia College Hollywood in Los Angeles, California with a B.F.A from Columbia College Hollywood in Los Angeles. Before coming to America, she worked in Journalism and theater. In 2010, she was granted the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences film internship award. Pepa has been a part of the festival circle with films like "Tengo Miedo," which won a TV Distribution deal on KCET's "Fine Cuts" and Best International Short Film in The Manuel Trujillo Duran Film Festival. Her first feature script "Fe, Esther", was selected into several screenplay competitions like American Zoetrope, Hollywood Screenplay contest, and Fade in Awards. With her production company, Sour Candy Crew, she's now developing content for new media platforms.
