Brooklyn Lowe was born on February 18, 1994 in Philadelphia, PA to Wandra Lowe, a single mother whom rose above the challenges of the inner-city to become a well celebrated nurse and Professor at John Hopkins University. Brooklyn Lowe was a very bright and highly artistic individual, reading by age 3 and writing by age 4. By the time she entered kindergarten, Brooklyn was writing short stories, poetry, and on her way to mastering multiplications. Although highly advanced for her age, reading everything from the Junie B. Jones series to her mother's medical textbooks, she was also extremely interested in the arts, with a love for painting and drawing. She was raised from very humble beginnings. Wandra Lowe, was a young single mom who dedicated her life to bettering their own. She often took the bus, with baby Brooklyn in tow, back and forth from the city to nursing school at Neuman College. Wandra maintained her ranking as top of her class no matter the adversity, even when they fell victim to Hurricane Floyd of 1999. With faith in God, Wandra and Brooklyn Lowe received help through the Red Cross, who set them up with a new home and a Christmas Tree that year. Brooklyn had great optimism and a profound curiosity for what she observed of her life, always seeking new ways to express. Often her short stories were about what she and her mom did that day, and her Barbies retold similar tales. It became very clear to all who knew her that Brooklyn Lowe was a natural born story-teller. And it was age 6 when she discovered her beloved medium, the performing arts. She proudly announced to her mother that she desired to act in film after watching Tyra Banks and Lindsay Lohan in the beloved movie Life-Size. Wandra knew that her child, Brooklyn Lowe, had discovered her destiny. From then on Wandra supported her daughter's dreams. From kindergarten to graduation, Brooklyn attended 10 schools in 4 states, due to her mother's career as a travel nurse, and just like her mother, was the top of her class at every one. Wandra highly encouraged Brooklyn to pursue her dream and to develop other talents, like signing and dancing, as well. With every performance, and every curtain opening, Brooklyn knew she was destined to act. From landing every role ever she auditioned for to gaining recognition from ITS (International Thespian Society). Her mother's career with God's grace lead them to California and the day after Brooklyn graduated from Monrovia High School with honors, she moved into a studio apartment in Koreatown only 1 mile from Paramount Studios. At that time Wandra continued to support Brooklyn both emotionally and financially. With God's blessing, Brooklyn was making swift success in her pursuits. Even accomplishing her dream of writing for Seventeen Magazine as their First Dating Blogger. Her first major role was in the critically acclaimed short film "Change" by Melissa Osborne, of Provacative Films, which won many festival awards. But her big break came as a series regular on "Blue: A Secret Life" starring Julia Stiles (Hustlers, 10 Things I Hate About You, Save the Last Dance), directed by Rodrigo Garcia (Albert Nobbs). What began as a web-series was soon picked up by the LifeTime Network (USA & UK) marking Brooklyn's official debut on television. Brooklyn's lead character Francesca, was on 2/3 seasons. Today Brooklyn Lowe happily lives in Atlanta, Georgia, the booming film mecca of the East Coast, United States. She continues to pursue her destiny as the natural born story-teller that God created her to be and is flourishing as a writer.
