John Human

John Human, is an independent Writer, Producer, Director and Designer born in Medellin Colombia. He was brought to the U.S. at eighteen months old. John grew up and was raised in Southern California were his interest in films, filmmaking, and storytelling was awaken on his first visit to Universal Studios. Curiosity led him to discover a magical world. He develops a passion for creating and he begins exploring filmmaking as a young teen in the 80's. John later moves to Miami where he pursues his filmmaking career at the Art Institute and starts work for Univision the Spanish language broadcasting giant with its headquarters in Miami, Florida designing sets and directing commercial campaigns for the Network. "Plata o Plomo" Money or Lead, a neo-realist film about a young drug trafficker was his first feature film. A self financed 114-minute film that he shot with friends and family on a shoestring budget. The film participated in film festivals such as New York Independent Film Festival, Oaxaca Film Festival in Mexico, Madrid Film Festival, Festival de Cine de Santa Fe Antioquia, Bogota Film Festival and many others. He then released the film on DVD, landed a cable release with Cinelatino and Released the Film Theatrically in Colombia with Procinal Theaters. In 2006, John Human founded Human Productions and independent production company that produces Independent Content, Commercials and also provides design services. His journey continues with the elaboration of films and series for the Anglo and Hispanic market.
