Darren is from London, England and began performing at the age of 5 in Dulwich at local Theatre shows and Carnival competitions at The Notting Hill Carnival. Ten years later while doing his A levels he decided to pick up where he left off and trained at South London Dance Studios. He later gained a scholarship for vocational training at The Urdang Academy where he trained extensively in acting, singing and dance. Darren graduated in 2007 with honors and went straight into his first show Carmen Jones at The Royal Festival Hall accompanied by The London Philharmonic Orchestra. Since then he has played lead roles both on the West End and on World Tours, in shows such as Five Guys Named Moe, The Rat Pack Live From Las Vegas, Joseph and the amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, A Harlem Dream, Sister Act and most recently Guys and Dolls at The Royal Exchange Manchester where he performed for The Earl Of Wessex. He has also been a part of UKs no.1 Hip Hop Dance company BirdGang and has performed in commercials, music videos, studio recordings, Bollywood films, short films, and events such as The London Olympics Opening Ceremony & The National Theatre's 50th Anniversary of Black Theatre.
