Samuel Joshua Sauls began playing the piano at age seven without any lessons. At age twelve, he took private lessons from the Pro Music Conservatory of Wilson, North Carolina and went on to play for his middle school chorus. He was accepted at the Arts Academy at Hunt High School in the 10th grade, but chose to attend Beddingfield High School. There he played in the chorus for his entire four years. Though Samuel enjoys composing a variety of different styles, his specialties include R&B, classical, Latin jazz, Samba and Bossa Nova. For the last five years, he has served as a Pianist for the Saint James Disciples of Christ Church. His musician credits include the stage plays "Purlie" (Easter Carolina Theatre Company) and a Motown Revue. He was an accompanist for the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Princess Ball 2007 and 2009. He has also performed at colleges, festivals and other special events. Samuel's acting credits include 'Pallbearer' in "Purlie", and had a role in Act for Youth's 2009 performance of "Miracle on 34th Street". His latest endeavor is Pianist for Act for Youth's October 2010 performance of "Annie". "Punch Me" marked Samuel's debut as a film composer. He plans to attend Fayetteville State University in the near future, where fittingly, he will major in Music Composition and minor in theatre performance.
